EA has announced that they will no longer support the title, which already has a sequel available and another about to release. The Sims 2 is currently not available for purchase on Origin, so if you want the game this is the only way to get it at this time. Considering how heavily The Sims franchise relies on expansions, this is a ton of content being offered for free. The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection contains the original The Sims 2 game as well as every expansion pack and stuff pack.
